Marisa´s New Home
15/05/2008

Last year Marisa and her six children spent a very cold winter huddled up in one tiny  room without heating and on mud floors.
Her home, barely more than a shack, flooded everytime it rained and Marisa spent much of the season ill with pneumonia leaving her children to be cared for by others. Marisa and her six children live on a government subsidy of just 150 pesos per month (25 GBP or 50 USD).

Because Todos Juntos did not want this to happen again, this autumn we took on the project of building a small home for Marisa - two rooms with raised floors, proper isolated walls, and small corner bathroom. Thanks to the help of friends and neighbours the construction is well underway and should be finished within the next month.
